When we (all the FIS-racers in the chartered Airbus from Zagreb) landed at Belp Airport in Bern friday 6th January the airport was croweded with planespotters. How come? Well, now I know.
It was the very first timen an Airbus A320 landed on Belp’s 1.500 meter runway. Since this is the biggest plane allowed to land at and take off from this airport it was a huge happening at Belp.
The runway both looked and felt a bit short too, but we made history.
See for yourselves. Enjoy and stay tuned.

You made history, and what, no welcoming with orchestra and red carpet on the runway?
So now I know how it looks from the outside. Beautiful bird!
Fascinating to watch A 320 in action, thank you for sharing, Leif. That’s my transport, though not my itinerary
Good luck for your ski season, Leif! Loved your words in the previous post, sounds like a life’s motto: been there, done that, learned a lot.
